Cards designed

It was a challenge to design cards that are visually appealing but also explanatory. The idea behind the cards is to show how gravitational pull can be used to accelerate or decelerate objects in space. That same technique is used by the scientists to send probes that can reach any object in the solar system in the most optimal way.

We had to choose the shape, the size and the look of the cards.

A standard card size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches showed to be ergonomically ideal for the purpose.

The choices were also to have the corners trimmed, giving the card an octagonal shape, or keep it as a standard rounded cornered rectangle.

Rounded rectangle was chosen as there were concerns regarding shuffling and sleeving the cards and also the possibly increased 'wear and tear' factor.

There's still work around refining the artwork, but in the coming days, all the cards will be ready for print.
